Kenzai reiki

Is flooding inevitable?
Recent arial filming of flooded areas highlighted the need for trees and greenspace.
Housing estates with concreted paths and gardens meant that excess of rainwater had nowhere to drain into...

Building on greenspace without leaving sufficient earth, shrubbery and trees to take care of the water is bound to lead to flooding.

Trees draw water up through their roots and release it slowly into the atmosphere, thisway, trees, especially enmasse as in woodlands and forests are able to slow down the movement of water around the planet.

Small trees in small gardens and bigger trees in larger gardens are an asset.

Advice for dealing with future flooding:
Scientists are telling us that rainfall will increase....
Here is a few point plan to help you ensure that you can cope, especially if you live in a town where the planners have forgotten to preserve greenspace and trees:

1. Build a shed on stilts in the garden so that you can climb into it when the water levels rise.

2. Keep a rowing boat ready with some food supplies easily available to grab ready for the floods.

3. Move your kitchen upstairs, then at least your appliances will not be damaged by the flooding and you can recover quicker.

4. Make sure your garden is not concreted or paved over so that water can drain somewhere...have trees at the bottom of the garden to draw the water off.

or...

to avoid all this; write to your MP and local planning office and ask them to start putting trees and greenspace back into the English landscape and to preserve the trees, woodlands, forests and greenspace already here.

Celtic Reiki

I've recently learned Celtic Reiki to add the knowledge to my understanding of Earth, Reiki and trees. I have often taken Reiki 2 and Reiki Master students out to beautiful greenspaces around Bedfordshire to receive their Attunements. During these outings, I encourage students to connect to Earth and Tree energy and they experience the pull of Earthlight, Tree connection and the magnetic forces that are so important to our own bodies healing.

During a recent Masters, I was guided to take the student to a local and beautiful place I've never visited before and was delighted to find it alive with ancient beech trees. Sitting on a root and listening to the tree, all I could think about was the Celtic Reiki and how urgent it seems to reconnect people to trees and Earth. I had up until that point, no intention of teaching Celtic Reiki formally, however, the connection with that great beech changed my mind and I can see all sorts of positive movements coming from teaching Celtic Reiki and Attuning Folk to it's energy.

I took this photo a few years ago (on a November the 5th) in Leagrave Woods, which are Marsh woods at the source of the River Lea in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. The old name of Luton was Lygetun, a name derived from the ancient Celt name Lug's Town. Celtic Legend had it that Lug (or Lyg) the Celtic God of Light used to come to drink in the river.

I didn't know of the ancient legend til recently and had, since taking the photo, spent time meditating in the woods to try to find the significance of the phenomena in the photo; one of the most prominet anomalies being the king's head in the purple light patch in the centre. In meditation I was given the impression that the light came down in the river near those woods.
Being told about the legend recently really did it for me...it means the guidance I received and my interpretations of that guidance during the mediations I did was spot on.
I haven't been able to take photos with the same phenomena in since that day, although there has been the occassion success.
I now think that November 5th was a major date in the Celtic Calendar to celebrate Light and that firelighting on that day are significant, not of Guy Fawkes, but of a much older tradition.

So I spent half term working on a let go of anger group...it came to me because of the ache in my side, caused by being a tad or two overweight and being in the region of the liver...and area where anger is said to reside. So I started a group to encourage letting go of anger, and got a bit confident so then I started a group for the TREES...
This has been a great way of bringing together down to earth and spiritual stuff about trees and has been so much fun.
Of course, I haven't got much done...but saving the world takes a bit of time, lifting the awareness and raising consciousness has to start somewhere...and once enough people take the possibilities on board, then others follow, it all just has to start somewhere.
So this half-term, when no-one was looking, the future of the planet perked up a bit!

In the Midst of The Sea of all that Is...

Just for today,
I'm going to just be me,
Accept yesterdays gone and tomorrow will be,
whatever it will be,
and just for today
I'm not going to worry...
I'm going to sit quietly
in the midst of the sea of all that is
and be free
of any responsibility
to be anything other than me.

Today I accept that everyone else is where they want to be,
The way they look at life is what they choose to see,
Today I'm just me
and I accept that the beauty that surrounds me,
is there because it wants to be,
not for me, or because of me,
but just because it is where it wants to be,
the beauty I'm in the midst of
is what I choose to see.

I accept that all that is today
is as it is,
and I have no need to heal it,
teach it or try to change it,
because it is what it chooses to be...
and today I just choose to be me.
And most of all, today,
I accept the human way,
that they are they
and they are where they wish to be
and I release myself from any need
to try to change them or teach them
because I wish they were more like me.

Took a Reiki Student to connect with tree energy today and have her Attunement in the woods at the top of the ancient hills.
On the way we connected with trees and bushes in hedgerows, the path is on a leyline so it's easy to 'feel' the energy for students when I get them to walk along with their eyes closed.
The wild roses were in flower and when connecting to flowers it's lovely to get Reiki flowing then start to feel Reiki flowing from the heart chakra to the flower and exchanging with the blossom. The dog rose connection was beautiful, I felt warmth spread from my chest outwards and my student saw beautiful colours within.

The words to describe the dog rose energy would be: gentleness with strength...determination with grace.

We went into the Beech Woods for the Attunement, I'm sure the trees have moved since the last time I was there! For a change, I connected with a tree by putting my hands on the trunk, after a few seconds, I felt movement under my palms. Then I leaned my head on the tree so my third eye was resting on the trunk, now really as I'd cut light out by doing this, I shouldn't have been able to see the beautiful colours that filled my third eye...

The words to describe the Beech...accept and move on, be free for new experience ... trying something new can be very enjoyable.

A beautiful visualisation:
Be comfortable, sitting or lying. Get an impression that you are sitting in the middle of a daisy, little white petals all around you, and you're sitting on the ready made little cushion in the centre (any other flower will do, it's up to you).

>If you find visualisation difficult get little impressions, see just one petal near your foot, for instance. Or get an impression of the way your sitting, a feeling that you're sitting on something...feeling an impression means you are aware in yourself that the visualisation is 'happening' but can't see the pictures in your mind very well ...that's fine, different people connect or feel differently. I tend to feel the impression rather that see it, so nowadays I don't try to see anything, and the vague impressions are stronger than when I used to try to 'see'.<

Back to the Daisy...
Don't try to rush anything, there's a tendancy to think that if you don't hurry you'll lose the visualisation. You won't and you can always bring it back...
So take time to get an impression of each petal of your flower, get an impression of the colour, of size.
Now, 'look' out to beyond the flower, is it surrounded by grass, other flowers, can you sense the leaves?
Think now of the elements, Earth, the daisy is of this element, think down through the roots of the flower.
Think next of water, how does the flower get watered, think of the dew fall, get an impression of water around your flower, you could even imagine a pond near the daisy.. if fish come to mind, they represent the element of water.
Next element is Fire, where you are sitting on your flower, is the sun shining, try to get an impression of the warmth of the sun, of light all around, perhaps reflecting of the dewdrops.
Finally, listen for the birds singing, or imagine or get an impression there is a breeze blowing...Air. Birds represent the element of Air.

You may get an impression of animals, too, enjoy these and make a mental note of the animals, if you enjoy visualising, then in future you may find the same animals visit regularly, these are likely to be 'strengths' (power animals or totems) around you to help you as you walk your life path at this time.

Now...A rainbow is spiralling down now towards you, each colour radiant...Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Turquoise, Indigo, Violet.
It's ok to 'feel' or just get vague impressions of each colour.
As the rainbow comes over you, the light will shower over and around you and the flower.

Now the rainbow is forming a stairway for you to climb...
